Kintsugi spreads its wings

I can’t believe the impact these workshops I’m facilitating are having on people. The one in Kingston, at the Providence Care Hospital, was absolutely outstanding. A dear person, Robert Mundle, was instrumental in making it happen. It was such an incredible experience, the intimacy shared amongst front line care providers, palliative care nurses, prison chaplain, writer, and lay people was deeply profound.

Then a magazine contacted me from Oakville that had seen the workshop posted at Joshua Creek and wanted to know more about it. Turns out this gentleman wants to write an article about it, to be published in March. How honouring!

This past weekend Kintsugi struck again at the Oakville Arts Studio. Renata, my colleague and resident artist at the studio, and I felt pretty fortunate to have 7-8 people. By the time we started it had doubled. I had a colleague come with her family from Sarnia, and exceptional person in her own right. And the magic was once again profound. The depth of emotion, the impact, the ability of the bowl to access the recesses of our mind through the subconscious is truly incredible.

I feel so humbled to be facilitating this beautiful Japanese healing art. It looks like we’ll have a few more coming, Duran Place, Joshua Creek, Bloomfield, Sarnia, Toronto, and perhaps BC, Montreal and NYC?!

Incredibly grateful. Truly blessed to be doing this work.
